Description

Indication / Uses:

  • Bovine Ketosis.
  • Parturient paresis (supportive therapy for milk fever, pre/post-calcium therapy).
  • Pain & lameness in generalized/acute localized arthritic conditions.
  • Inflammatory conditions: laminitis, rheumatoid/traumatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, periostitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis, myositis.
  • Muscular soreness, stiffness, depression, anorexia from overwork, shipping, or exertion.
  • Allergic conditions: anaphylactic reactions, dermatitis, conjunctivitis, eczema.
  • Acute hypersensitive reactions from sensitizing drugs or allergens.
  • Supportive therapy in overwhelming infections with severe toxicity (e.g., mastitis, pneumonia).
  • Shock-like states from severe injury, trauma, emergency/elective surgery in poor surgical risks.
  • Other indications: post-surgical/dystocia exhaustion, retained placenta, inflammatory ocular conditions, snakebite, stressful conditions, supportive therapy in mastitis

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

  • Cattle & Buffalo: 5-10 ml Isoflud (10-20 mg Isoflupredone Acetate) based on size/condition severity; repeat in 12-24 hours if needed.
  • Horse: 2.5-10 ml Isoflud (5-20 mg Isoflupredone Acetate).
  • Sheep & Goat: 0.5-1 ml Isoflud per 10 kg body weight (1-2 mg Isoflupredone Acetate per 10 kg).
  • Or as directed by a veterinary practitioner.

Route of Administration:

  • Intramuscular, intrasynovial, or intra-articular only (deep IM for systemic effect; joint cavity, tendon sheath, or bursa for local effect).
  • Do not add to infusion solutions.
