Description

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

EQUIPPS INJECTION is a potent anti-inflammatory and joint repair stimulant designed for the long-term management of osteoarthritis and other non-infectious joint conditions in horses. Each mL contains 250 mg of Sodium Pentosan Polysulfate (PPS), a plant-derived heparinoid compound with. enhanced therapeutic effects and reduced anticoagulant activity.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

  1. Stimulates Cartilage Repair :- PPS activates chondrocyte metabolism, increasing the production of proteoglycans and enhancing the structural integrity of joint cartilage. It also stimulates synovial fibroblasts, leading to the formation of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, which improves joint lubrication and stabilization.
  2. Anti-inflammatory Action :- PPS inhibits mediators in the arachidonic acid cascade and lysosomal enzymes (e.g., histamine, cathepsin B, hyaluronidase), preserving cartilage matrix components and relieving pain and inflammation without damaging joint tissues.
  3. Fibrinolytic and Lipolytic Effects :- It promotes the breakdown of fibrin deposits and mobilizes lipids and cholesterol in joint blood vessels, improving perfusion and encouraging cartilage regeneration.

Why Choose EQUIPPS INJECTION?

Unlike NSAIDs or corticosteroids, EQUIPPS INJECTION does not merely mask symptoms. Instead, it supports true healing and joint recovery without inhibiting cartilage synthesis. Its dual action-anti-inflammatory and regenerative-makes it a superior solution for managing joint degeneration.

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Traumatic arthritis
  • Degenerative cartilage disease
  • Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) in horses

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

  • Frequency: Every 5-7 days for a total of four injections
  • Intra-articular (IA): 1 mL directly into the joint, if clinically indicated PPS accumulates in cartilage and maintains therapeutic levels for several days. Improvement may last up to six months post-treatment. Additional doses may be administered safely as needed in response to flare-ups.
  • Tip: For enhanced results, combine with COSEQUIN EQUINE (Glucosamine & Chondroitin supplement) to provide essential building blocks for joint repair.
