Description

INDICATIONS:

INDICATIONS This product is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by oxytetracycline-sensitive organisms in horses, cattle, camels, sheep, goats, dogs, and cats. Effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, including:

  • Staphylococcus spp.
  • Listeria monocytogenes
  • Mannheimia haemolytica
  • Haemophilus parahaemolyticus
  • Bordetella bronchiseptica
  • Chlamydophila abortus (formerly Chlamydia psittaci) – the causative agent of enzootic abortion in sheep

CONTRAINDICATIONS & PRECAUTIONS

  • Do not use in horses receiving corticosteroid therapy.
  • Transient swelling may occur after intramuscular injection in horses and subcutaneous injection in dogs.
  • Tetracycline use during tooth and bone development, including late pregnancy, may cause tooth discoloration.
  • Photodermatitis may develop following exposure to intense sunlight after treatment.
  • Do not administer intravenously in dogs or cats.
  • Avoid concurrent use of bacteriostatic and bactericidal antimicrobials.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Administer by intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) injection:

  • Adult animals: 1 ml per 10-20 kg body weight for 3 to 5 days
  • Young animals: 2 ml per 10-20 kg body weight for 3 to 5 days

Maximum volume per injection site:

  • Cattle: 20 ml
  • Swine: 10 ml
  • Calves, Goats, Sheep: 5 ml

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

Do not use milk or slaughter animals for human consumption during treatment.
