Description

INDICATIONS:

SULFINE is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Cattle and Calves: Pneumonia, foot rot, diphtheria, actinobacillosis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, enteritis, polyarthritis, streptococcal mastitis, dysentery, lymphangitis, young animal septicemia, and coccidiosis.
  • Sheep and Goats: Respiratory infections, lymphangitis, young animal septicemia, and coccidiosis.
  • Poultry and Pigs: Respiratory tract infections and coccidiosis.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to sulfonamides. Contraindicated in animals suffering from severe hepatic impairment or blood dyscrasias.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

For subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection.

  • Cattle: 3-6 ml per 10 kg body weight on the first day, followed by 3 ml per 10 kg body weight daily for the next 2-5 days.
  • Pigs: 50 mg per kg body weight daily for 3-7 days.
  • Poultry: 100 mg per kg body weight daily for 3 days.

Note: In cold weather, fine crystals may form in the solution. These will re-dissolve upon gentle warming.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

  • Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Poultry:
    • Meat: 18 days
  • Cattle:
    • Milk: 6.5 days
  • Sheep:
    • Not to be used in milk-producing sheep for human consumption
  • Pigs:
    • Meat: 42 days
