Indications

Vitamin K1 Chewable Tablets are indicated in dogs and cats to counter hypoprothrombinemia induced by ingestion of coumarin-based compounds, common ingredients of commercial rodenticides, and other drug induced hypoprothrombinemia where it is definitely shown that the result is due to interference with Vitamin K metabolism (e.g., salicylates).

Ingredients

  • Active Ingredients: Phytonadione 25 mg.

  • Inactive Ingredients: Cellulose, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Iron Oxide, Liver Powder (Porcine Sourced), Magnesium Stearate, Silicone Dioxide, Stearic Acid, Sucrose and Whey.

Directions

  • Vitamin K-1 Chewable Tablets are meant to be used as a supplement in instances of ingestion of rodenticides (rat poison).

  • Use as directed by your veterinarian.

  • Tip: Always make sure your pet has fresh water available.

Dosage

  • Dosage for Cats: 2.5-5 mg/kg (5.5-11 mg/lb) body weight (1 tablet per 11 lbs for higher dosages) once a day for up to three (3) weeks or as directed by your veterinarian.

  • Dosage for Dogs: 2.5-5 mg/kg (5.5-11 mg/lb) body weight (1 tablet per 22 lbs for higher dosages) once a day for up to three (3) weeks or as directed by your veterinarian.
